Summary: dankt für seine letzte Post und legt ihm sein neues Gedicht “Die Meeresbraut” zur kritischen Beurteilung bei. Er arbeitet z. Zt. an einem Trauerspiel, zur Herbstmesse wird ein neuer Erzählungsband von Laun erscheinen, aus dem er offensichtlich bei seinem Ermlitzer Besuch gelesen hatte, auch sein Märchen sei darin. Steigert sich in die Idee, sich Flügel wachsen zu lassen, um öfter auf der “Gespensterbrücke” bei ihm zu landen mit in der Luft aufgegriffener Poesie, aber fürchtet, dass er bald einen Flügel verlieren würde, denn er sei sehr ungeschickt in allen Leibesübungen. Hat in der Bibliothek Studien für sein Trauerspiel, größtenteils ohne Nutzen gemacht. Berichtet, dass er mehrmals mit Kind zusammen gewesen sei “Das grade Wesen an ihm, verbunden mit seinem richtigen Urtheil, und eigner Ansicht von den Dingen, macht mir ihn anziehend” Hat sich von Kind Apels “schöne Aemilie” leihen und mit großem Vergnügen lesen können.
