Summary: teilt mit, dass er die Summe für die Partitur bei Benedict bezahlt habe, wegen einer Fotografie der letzten Arie von Weber im Besitz von Lady Essex glaubt er jedoch, dass es schwierig sein wird, da es eine sehr alte Dame sei und es ebenso schwierig sei, sich ihr zu nähern wie Sir George Smart. Die Schottischen Nationalmelodien hat er bei Campbell & Co gesehen, es sind 6 Bände, die nur zusammen verkauft werden und auch 10 Arrangements von Weber enthalten. Sie sollen 3 Pfund sterling kosten. Über den ersten Verleger des Oberon gibt es verschiedene Aussagen (Cramer oder Welsh). Vor einigen Monaten ist bei Chapman & Hall eine Übersetzung der Biographie von Max Maria von Weber erschienen, übers. von Pelgrave Simpson (24 sh), bei Hawes war er, bekam eine Lithographie von dem Ölgemälde Webers (mit Brille) geschenkt, die er an J. schickt. Alles, was er dort erfahren, wird er ihm erzählen
