Summary: offensichtlich hatte Jähns für das geplante Konzert von Turandot abgeraten und dafür die Abu Hassan-Ouvertüre vorgeschlagen und hatte dem Hofkapellmeister Büchner einen Band mit Orchesterwerken Webers ausgeliehen; Büchner nutzte die Gelegenheit, die dort noch fehlenden Werke abschreiben zu lassen und versprach, den Band in Kürze zurücksenden; die Hassan-Ouvertüre habe im Konzert den Mitwirkenden, Zuhörern, ihm selbst und dem Herzog sehr gut gefallen
