Summary: es geht nochmals um den Jungfernkranz, zu dem M. offensichtlich anderer Meinung ist, dann wiederholt er den Anfang seines verworfenen Briefes an ihn und gibt darin ein sehr lebendiges Bild von Weber und dessen künstlerischer Persönlichkeit, wie sie sich ihm darstellte bei den Aufführungen Freischütz (1821) und Euryanthe (1825).
