Summary: außer persönlichen Mitteilungen, u. a. ein schrecklicher Schlittenunfall in der Stadt mit Tod eines Kindes spricht er über die Secondasche Schauspielgesellschaft, bei der nun doch Seconda Regisseur bleiben wird, Gespräche mit Bethmann verliefen erfolglos, ersterer hat nun beschlossen, den Schauspielern jährlich 100 Taler von ihrer Gage zur Finanzierungshilfe des Theaters abzuziehen. Der Schauspieler Weidner würde 300 Taler verlieren und geht nächste Spielzeit nach Frankfurt/M.

Summary: bestätigt seinen Brief vom 26. August mit der Todesnachricht seines Söhnchens Rafael; er fürchtet, dass er durch dieses traurige Ereignis nicht in der Lage sein wird, Beiträge zum Trinker-Almanach zu verfassen, aber er gibt die Hoffnung dennoch nicht auf; er hat eine Rezension über Apels Cicaden ins Morgenblatt gegeben, die offensichtlich noch nicht erschienen sei. Am Kopf des Briefes ist von unbekannter Hand mit Blei vermerkt, dass es sich vermutlich um die Todesnachricht des Rafael Apel handelt, der in der Gruft in Ermlitz beigesetzt wurde
