Summary: begrüßt die Idee der Wiederaufführung von Webers Festspiel-Musik zur Vermählung des Prinzen (nunmehrigen Königs) Johann anlässlich des 50jährigen Jubiläums; hat die Musik vor ca. 10 Jahren mit anderem Text von einem Dresdner Gesangsverein auf dem Lincke’schen Bad gehört, sie habe “reizenden Eindruck” gemacht, besonders der Kriegerchor (Chor des Wehrstandes) sei “ungemein lieblich”; bedauert, dass die Textneufassung von Pabst wieder nur ein Gelegenheitstext wird; erbittet den Text und auf seine Kosten anzufertigende Stimmen-Kopien; hofft die Aufführung in Dresden besuchen zu können und bittet um einen Platz in Pabsts Loge; die Silvana-Ouvertüre werde man wohl nicht (wie Weber 1822) verwenden; dankt für den Abu Hassan, der im Theater an der Wien einstudiert werden könnte, die Hoftheater eigneten sich nicht dafür; will eine Notiz über die Festspielaufführung in die Neue Freie Presse besorgen; bestellt Grüße an seinen Sohn Carl
