Summary: berichtet, dass er eine 2. Gespenstergeschichte fertig habe und sie zur Messe mitbringen werde, hofft auch, dass Apel etwas dabei haben werde für den 2. Band. Fragt nach seiner Ballade. Über seine literarischen Pläne werde er ihn zur Messe informieren; wünscht sich, dass er ihm Trinklieder für seinen Almanach schicken möge, er habe zwei selbst gemacht, wovon eins von Methfessel komponiert werden wird. Den Dresdner Kuhn will er auch zu einem Trinklied anregen, zu welchem Behufe das alles wird er zur Ostermesse erfahren; richtet Grüße von Hartmann aus und berichtet kurz von Exponaten der diesjährigen Kunstausstellung; bedauert, dass Apel nicht kommen werde bzw. fordert ihn auf, doch zu kommen
